Gabo’s is based on an architecture with a strong presence. From the beginning, we were clear that we wanted to maintain it: it speaks of the place, of the building’s past, and adds to the project’s narrative. That spatial heritage is the foundation on which we build everything else.
We work with fine materials such as aged wood and marble, combined with softer elements like velvets. The graphic carpet develops Gabos’ visual language, and the epoxy flooring maintains color continuity throughout the space. A simple, well-articulated, and unpretentious palette.
Color takes center stage. We opted for a deep burgundy that completely envelops the space: floor, furniture, bar, and sinks. A monochrome box that contrasts with the warmth of the wood and defines a clear visual identity. The lighting is resolved with precision and discretion. Focal points of light accompany the usage areas and generate an intimate sensation that runs throughout the restaurant.
The furniture takes vintage references without falling into the literal. Pieces with character, interpreted from a contemporary approach, that close a project marked by coherence and a unique aesthetic. Echoes from New York, Gabos style, by MIL.
