An icon that shines again.
NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding: an iconic hotel, the essence of the 70s in Madrid. In the studio, we worked to recover its essence and authentic materiality. We respect its history to reveal, with a contemporary perspective, what has always defined it.
The lobby is the core of the project: the reception area for guests and the space that sets the pace and atmosphere of the hotel. We stripped away hidden surfaces to reveal the monumentality of the original pillars, which take center stage.
Three areas—the reception area, Bikini Bar, and Casa de Comidas restaurant—give meaning and structure to the project.
Although each space has its own identity and functionality, they are all integrated with a common language. The new narrative enhances the feeling of intimacy through carefully designed indirect and focal lighting.
Textures, rhythms, and materials define the atmosphere. The furniture balances functionality and warmth, while earth tones bring coherence to the space.
Bikini Bar is the most informal spot in the hotel, designed for relaxed disconnection.
This project recovers the essence of the place to project it into the future with vision. With an intervention that reinvents without losing its essence, the building shines again and is positioned as a protagonist in the history of Madrid for many years to come.
